IRS wage levies are continuing in nature. That means the levy continues indefinitely until the tax is paid in full or some other resolution is reached.
The IRS wage levies frequently take more than 80% of take-home pay. The IRS will not leave you with enough to survive.
Sometimes wage levies can be difficult to have released because typically there are unfiled 1040 income tax returns. Those returns must be filed before the IRS will release the wage levy. Once the returns have been filed, and the financial information has been provided to the IRS, the wage levy can be released immediately, sometimes within minutes after an agreement has been reached.
However, time is of the essence. Call immediately, if not us then somebody else. This is not a problem that goes away by itself and the solution can sometimes take longer than desired.
