Currently Not Collectible

The IRS is required by law to leave you alone and stop collection action if your liability is uncollectible.  The IRS calls this currently not collectible status.  This happens when your income is less than your living expenses using IRS standards. Remember these standards are very low, making it difficult for you to qualify for currently not collectible status.  We can help you qualify.

Even if you are uncollectible the IRS may be very slow at recognizing it.  Continuing levies can cause you further economic hardship.

Congress believes that the IRS should release all levies once it is shown that you are uncollectible and unable to pay.  We can help you enforce that law.
